Tripsta / Airtickets recently announced that they are restructuring their operations. They are not taking new reservations during this period of time, and have been removed from Skyscanner search results whilst they undergo this process. Tripsta / Airtickets have advised that all existing bookings for future travel remain valid however, they do not have direct access to bookings at this point and are unable therefore to make changes or receive refunds for cancelled flights.
As Skyscanner is neither the passenger or the travel agent, unfortunately airlines will not speak with us directly on any cases for data protection reasons. However, we’re here to help as much as we can and there are several courses of action that you can take to help resolve any issues:
If you wish to reconfirm an existing booking
If you have a future travel booking, Tripsta / Airtickets have advised that these remain valid. However, if you would like to reconfirm all details we recommend checking your booking on the airline website using your last name and your confirmation number given in your original email confirmation from Triptsa / Airtickets. Alternatively, you can contact the airline customer service team directly and they should be able to assist.
If you need to make changes to your booking, including cancellations:
Please contact the airline directly, stating that Tripsta are unable to access the booking and have given permission to the airline to take over control of the booking. Tripsta have said that they have added notes to all bookings giving the respective airlines permission to take control of bookings directly. It's possible that the airline may push back on this at first, but explaining the situation, referring them to Tripsta's statement as above, and asking them to check the notes should help them to accept control of the booking and assist with any changes.
If you’re waiting for a refund or your flight has been cancelled:
We recommend that you speak to you credit card company and/or bank to dispute your transaction/raise a charge back claim. Most credit card and many debit card transactions are covered in circumstances such as these. We also suggest checking the terms of your travel insurance policy too, as in many cases travel insurance might provide cover for such situations.
We’re very sorry that your travel arrangements have been impacted, and please do get in touch via the contact us link below if you have any questions at all, and will of course try our very best to give you the best advice possible.
