Can I trust the travel providers on Skyscanner?

We collect feedback from real travelers and use it to assess the quality of travel providers shown in our search results. This helps you make a more informed decision when choosing who to book with. 

Our Quality Rating Scores are based on recent traveler experiences and are updated regularly. 

How is the rating calculated?

After you’ve visited a travel provider’s site from Skyscanner, we may show you a survey asking for feedback about your experience with that provider.

We combine these survey results with post-booking feedback received by our Support Team to generate an overall Quality Rating Score.

To ensure the rating is relevant and up to date, we only consider feedback from the last 91 days and refresh the scores weekly.

What does the Quality Rating take into account?

Some of the categories we collect traveler feedback about include:

• Price accuracy and fee transparency: how closely the provider’s prices match the prices shown on Skyscanner, and whether fees and charges are clearly displayed.
• Flight availability: whether flights selected on Skyscanner are consistently available on the provider’s website.
• Website usability: how easy to use and stable the provider’s website is during the booking process.
• Refund and change policy: whether the provider has a clear refund or change policy for each ticket and how easy it is to find during the booking process.
• Payment experience: whether travelers are able to complete the payment process smoothly.
• Customer service and post-booking experience: how easy it is for travelers to contact the provider for help, as well as feedback about their service and reliability.

Providers may receive a lower Quality Rating Score if they don’t provide a good experience in these areas.

Our ratings aren't influenced by Skyscanner or our travel providers. Scores are calculated using feedback from real travelers, and the same rules apply to all travel providers shown on Skyscanner.

Some travel providers may also display a Recommended Provider badge. The badge recognizes eligible travel providers that meet our requirements across three areas:

• Quality Rating Score

• Price accuracy

• Booking follow-through

Providers need to meet the required standard across all three areas to earn the badge.
