What do the stars next to each travel provider mean?
Care about more than just price when choosing a flight? Then the Quality Rating will be right up your street! 'What's that?' we hear you ask. Well, it's based entirely on traveller feedback and is designed to reflect the standard of booking experience provided by the travel providers (airlines and travel agents) we show. The rating is there so you can make your booking equipped with the insight and experience of those who know best - your fellow travellers.
What does the Quality Rating take into account?
Good question. There are two parts of the booking experience we use to calculate the score.
- The booking process:
- Price accuracy
- Ease of booking
- Transparency around optional extras and added fees
- Customer service
- Any other post-booking issues
Just so we're clear, the rating doesn't reflect the quality of the experience on board the flight and instead focuses entirely on the booking and post-booking process with your chosen provider. Got it? Perfect!
How is the rating calculated?
We gather traveller survey results and combine them with any post-booking feedback received by our Support Team about each airline and travel agent. We take into account all feedback from the previous 91 days to ensure that the overall quality rating is relevant and up-to-date, and refresh our scores weekly.
Very Important Fact: our ratings are not influenced by us or our travel providers. They are completely unbiased to ensure the most transparent and valuable information is available to travellers from travellers.
What's a good Quality Rating?
Five stars (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) is the highest and best score a provider can get - it's like the gold medal of Quality Ratings. One (⭐) is the lowest (no medals there).
What does the number next to the stars mean?
The number indicates how many individual pieces of feedback we've taken into account to create the provider's rating.
How can I read traveller reviews?
Um, afraid you can't. That's because we don't ask our travellers to leave reviews, just a clear and simple rating.
How can I rate a travel provider?
Want to get involved and help other travellers book their next amazing trip? You’re a hero!
Once you've clicked through to the provider's website, a survey box will appear on your screen asking for feedback if you revisit the page or app. BUT, there are a couple of reasons why a survey might not appear, like when a provider isn't showing a price or during multi-city bookings.
Remember, the more feedback we receive from travellers the more useful the rating, so please complete a survey after booking!
