To manage the price alerts you have set up with, you’ll need to log in to your Skyscanner account (if you chose not to set up a Skyscanner account when you set up your price alerts, you’ll need to follow the process below, but click or tap on ‘forgotten your password?’ on the account screen).

On our desktop website you can log in to your account by clicking ‘Log in’ at the top of the screen.

To log in on our mobile website and the app, tapthen tap ‘Log in’.

Once you’ve logged in on desktop or mobile web, click on the 'Account' option and navigate to the Price Alert Management screens. From here you can view the alerts you currently have set up, the latest price found, trigger an immediate search, stop an alert, or set up new alerts.

To manage these on the app, tapat the top left of the home screen and then ‘Recent searches and Price Alerts’. From here you’ll be able to manage your price alerts.

Price alerts allow you to track price changes for a route and date you’re interested in monitoring. You’ll get an email when prices change - so they can be great for making sure you get the best deal. At the moment, we don't have the price alert option available for multi-city searches, however we are working on this and hope to have it soon!

Setting up price alerts To set up an alert, make a search for your route and specific dates as usual, and then click the and enter your email address. We’ll send you an email to confirm – simply click the link in the email, and you’re all set! If you haven’t received the email, we recommend checking your spam/junk email folder. You can sign up for more than one price alert at a time, and we’ll bundle all the updates into one daily email. If you choose to create a Skyscanner account, new price alerts can be set up with just one click or tap of the

Frequency of price alerts You can set up a price alert for any searches that you want to keep an eye on. We’ll check the prices for you regularly and send you an email, but the frequency will vary depending on your date of the travel. If the date of travel is less than 100 days away (when they tend to change more often), we’ll check the prices for you and send you an email daily when the price has gone up or down. If the date of the travel is more than 100 days away (when prices tend to be more stable), we’ll send an email once a week - even when prices aren’t changing on your route and date combination - to let you know what the latest price is.

Cancelling price alerts You can cancel price alerts at any time. Just click the “Stop this alert” link in the price alert email if you want to cancel that specific price alert. If you want to cancel all of them, click the “Stop all alerts” link. You can also cancel price alerts from your Skyscanner account - see this article for more details. We promise we won’t send you any emails unless you ask us to.

The price alerts emails are intended as a guide, and are based on a snapshot in time on the day it was sent for a single adult travelling. Flight availability, meanwhile, is live and can change very rapidly based on traveller demand and airline pricing structures. 

At times, this can result a flight that you have an alert set up for no longer available at the emailed price, or at all. This may be particularly noticeable when there has been any delay between receiving the price alert email and clicking the link, but can sometimes even change within minutes or even seconds of the alert going out. 

Another situation which could result in a price difference is where your original search was for multiple passengers.  Price Alerts check for single adult prices only, but we do remember your passenger selection so when you click through you will see prices based on those passengers. 

We still hope that the majority of the time there is no significant change, and the feature is still useful for finding the best prices for your chosen route. Of course very occasionally it might be that we have a technical problem leading to an incorrect price. If you feel this might be the case we would be very grateful if you could provide us with the details of your search (dates, airports, flight times, number of passengers, airline and travel agent, if applicable). We can then try to investigate the issue.

When you request a price alert, this is based on the specific route and dates you’ve searched for.  It will also remember the number of travellers you’ve searched for and whether you’ve indicated a preference for direct flights.  It isn’t currently possible to apply additional filters (such as flight times or flight duration), but we are looking to introduce this in the future. 

We then check regularly for the lowest  price on that route for the dates you requested across all providers and route options.  If your search is for two or more travellers, we check for price changes per traveller and will also show you the whole group price in the email.

Flight prices and availability change constantly, so we make sure the data is updated regularly to reflect this. When you redirect to a travel provider’s site, the price is updated again so you can be sure that you will always see the best price available from the airline or travel agent at time of booking.  

We make every effort to ensure the information you see on Skyscanner is accurate and up to date, but very occasionally there can be reasons why a price change has not updated accurately on the site. If you see a price difference between Skyscanner and a travel provider, please contact us with all the flight details (from, to, dates, departure times, airline and travel agent if applicable) and we will investigate further.  

If you haven’t received a Price Alert you have subscribed to we recommend first of all checking your spam or junk mail folders, in case they’re going there. Also remember that although we check the prices regularly, we will only send you a price alert if the price has changed.

If you have tried that and you’re still not receiving them, please contact us via the link below, providing as much detail as possible. We will investigate this further and will get back to you as soon as possible.

Airlines sell a set number of tickets at one particular price and when those are sold out, the next price category becomes available – usually at a slightly higher price. It can happen that there is only one ticket left at the initial price, and that is why the total price changes when you try to book two or more tickets.  

Once you’re redirected to the airline or travel agent, the total amount for all tickets and passengers should be shown to you, and that is the final amount that you will pay. We recommend that you check this carefully before you confirm and pay for your booking.

It’s not possible for us to guarantee the prices of airlines and travel agents, unfortunately. We make every effort to ensure the information you see on Skyscanner is accurate and up to date but prices can change frequently with availability. Very occasionally there can also be a problem with the prices being passed through to us to show by a provider, or there are technical reasons why the price is not represented accurately. We can’t give quotes for flights by email. Because flight prices and availability change constantly, the best way to find the most accurate prices for your journey is by doing a new search on our site or app. Simply enter where you want to fly from and to in the search box on our site, then select the dates you're interested in. For this reason, the prices we show on these search pages are only an estimate, which is why we state “indicative prices only” on the month view page. 

Once you input a specific departure point, destination and date we always display the most recently available price on the final page, at which point you can then choose to be transferred to the airline or travel agent’s website to complete the booking at that price.
