There can often be some confusion around what we do here at Skyscanner. It’s OK, we’re not offended. It can be confusing! So let’s clear it up.
We're not an airline, hotel, car hire company, or travel agent. Instead, we use our top-notch tech skills to find you the best travel options and the best prices. We want you to have a great travel experience, and that means not overpaying for your trip.
If you need to cancel your booking, a lot of people think they need to contact us. That’s totally understandable but you're actually paying and booking with the travel company you select and, because we don't hold your booking or payment, we can’t cancel your booking. We can, however, point you in the right direction so you can speak to the people who can help.
Here are three easy steps to figuring out how to cancel.
Step 1: If you can’t remember the name of the travel agent or airline the booking is with, check your email for a booking confirmation. It should have been sent to you when you confirmed the booking.
In your email, try searching for the destination. Or simply search ‘booking confirmation’. It should show up.
Step 2: Still can’t find it? Check your junk folder and your spam folder. Sometimes your email will filter things in here by mistake.
Step 3: Still no luck? You used a card to pay so the booking will be on your bank statement. Check your statement for the payment, and the name of the airline or the travel agent should be right there next to the charge.
Once you’ve found the airline or travel agent you booked with, you can use our handy search box below to find their contact details.
Hopefully that's helped set you in the right direction. If anything isn't clear, feel free to get in touch and we'll do our best to help.
